ABOUT ME

Hi - I'm Matthew.
I am a multi-instrumentalist composer, conductor, orchestrator/arranger, and sound designer with a keen focus on composition for games, film, television, and other visual media. I write, notate, and produce scores and craft sounds that aim to musically accentuate the stories and visions of others.

While I am most at home creating in the soundworlds of orchestral and ambient music, I thoroughly enjoy writing in various genres and I also specialise in orchestrating and arranging, with a passion for conducting - providing a high standard of quality focused on the inherently unique, bespoke musical voice of each project and helping to connect clients with their desired musical outcomes.

In the field of music preparation, I have worked previously with large symphony orchestras, 25-piece big bands, solo instrumental performances, and everything in-between.
I graduated from the Griffith University Queensland Conservatorium of Music in late 2020, and studied under Dr. Matt Hitchcock, Dr. Thomas Green and Matt Christensen (composer of Superliminal) studying Music Technology, Composition, Sound Design & Music / Audio for Screen & Games.
I've since written the scores to several short films, worked on sound design and implementation for Roblox & Splash Music, contributed library music for one of the leading providers of original music for advertising, worked as in-house team composer and audio designer for a multinational innovator in gaming technology, and continued to collaborate with many creatives globally on a variety of art, both visual as well as musical.
I believe that ultimately, music is meant to enthral, to invite an audience into a realm of imagination and reverie - capturing and enhancing their emotions.
With the right music, the reverie does not only captivate, it unfolds into reality.
